2nd AsiaPacific Outgames - registrations open


Registrations opened two weeks ago for the 2nd Asia Pacific Outgames in March 2011 with early bird discounts till October.

The 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames in Wellington, New Zealand, will be a full-throttle week of sports competition, cultural events, spectacular shows, must-go parties, and a human rights conference programme with national and international speakers!

Join more than a thousand lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people to participate in this unique event.

2011 will be an ideal time for those living overseas to visit New Zealand, and for offshore kiwis to make the trip home. And there's plenty of time for you to plan what part of the Outgames you'll be a part of!

Gay Scuba Diving Group Goes DownUnder the Coral Sea

From Compete, the Gay Sports Magazine,we've learned of a diving trip - The Coral Sea Safari - to Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

The DownUnder Divers hail from Washington, DC,  and their 7-day excursion will include dive sites along 450 miles of the Coral Sea, starting in Cairns 4-11 November.

EXCAVATION - An Exhibition of Geometric and Figurative Stratigraphy

Artist David H Brown, working within the Geometric and Figurative painting traditions, launches his first solo exhibition, EXCAVATION.

David completed his Master of Arts with Honours in Anthropology at the University of Auckland and worked for six years as a professional Archaeologist throughout Europe before following his passion for painting and becoming a full time artist in 2006. 

In EXCAVATION, static geometric paintings are juxtaposed with expressive figurative works.

Brown’s paintings can not only be viewed within their separate traditions, but also as a single body of work, where the viewer is invited by the emotional pull of the paintings, to consider the convergence of his visual language
 .
