GLBT Hiking, Biking and Kayaking in Wales

Reputable Boston-based tour operator Big Wolf Expeditions - which specializes in rugged, adventure-driven, GLBT-oriented tours - still has room left on a an August 15 weeklong trip exploring the craggy coast and soaring peaks of Wales, a country that has lately been making a serious push toward gay tourism. The tour leaves from London (you actually get to spend the first day there), and then includes overnights in the Welsh communities of Swansea (hometown to the late poet and reveler Dylan Thomas), Pembrokeshire (for two days of coastal kayaking), and Snowdonia (for a day of mountain-biking, followed by another of hiking up the highest peak in Britain outside of Scotland, Mt. Snowdon). The trip finishes up in London.

Rates (based on double-occupancy) are $2,975 (they've dropped the price a bit to make this especially attractive) and include seven nights' accommodations, ground transport, equipment usage as well as guiding and instruction, and a number of meals. You have to pay your own way to London, but have you looked at the deals airlines are offering right now? It's a great time to go.
