Aging with Grace: 77 year old hotel earns RTA and opens doors for Mardi Gras celebrants

The Grace Hotel is a beautifully restored 11-storey building. It successfully combines the historic Grace Building with modern conveniences and comforts expected by today’s traveller. Originally opened in 1930, it is situated in the heart of Sydney’s central business district.

The Grace is a certified gay-friendly property, just approved under the Rainbow Tourism Accreditation program because of its committment to gay and lesbian tourism and membership in IGLTA and GALTA.

There are 382 spacious guest rooms, like the pictured deluxe king, all designed with the frequent traveller in mind. Each has telecommunications such as voice mail, data points for laptop computers and interactive TV’s. Individual comfort is also enhanced with feather comforters & pillows,an in-room refreshment centre ,and access to the health club , which includes a fitness centre, pool, spas sauna and steam room.

Sounds like the place for me next time in Sydney in lieu of too-noisy Oxford Street, especially during Mardi Gras! There's still vacancy for Mardi Gras season - but don't delay in getting a room with a little grace and charm.
